Interview with Artist Slim Dre Drizzy
Andre Neal Collins, known professionally as SLIM DRE DRIZZY, is an American rapper, songwriter and musician. Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, SLIM DRE DRIZZY is known to employ unconventional vocal techniques in his music. Expressing his melodic and dark tone of music, he gained a cult-like following among his Instagram followers. We got the chance to interview him today.

Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?
“I started off mainly as a videographer and producer. Helped everyone else achieve their dreams in the local area but when it came to me, I truly wanted to do what I was helping everyone else do; build a fanbase and make music. After years went by, I moved to ATL and started to make it happen.”
Where are you from?
“Originally from Oak Grove, KY but currently reside in ATL.”
When did you start music?
“I STARTED making music in 2011.”
How did you get into music?
“I got into music by being influenced by Outkast when I was in 5th grade. I always loved their music and wanted to make my own hits one day.”
What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
“The most challenging thing that I have overcame in life has to be dealing with my mother’s death.”
Are you currently signed or independent?
“I am currently independent.”
Who inspires you the most musically?
“Eminem.”
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
“That they are in a Dog-eat-dog world and they need to keep their faith up and stay strong even through it.”
Any new music coming out soon?
“Yes I have plenty of new music to come soon and 3 mixtapes.”
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
“Being able to do my own music videos and build a cult fanbase slowly but surely.”
Do you produce your own music? If not who do you work with?
“I work with AdamOnTheTrack and FuxkLowk3y mainly.”
Who is one artist you wish you could work with?
“Mystikal.”
Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
“My next project called Tha Last of Evil Dre Drizzy Vol. II is going to be coming out in the Fall sometime. It is a continuation of music similar to Vol. I.”
What does a day inside your shoes look like?
“It would look pretty easy. I don’t stress myself nor mess with anybody, haha.”
