Interview With Shay Bxxgie
Emo Rapper Shamus Goss Jr., known by his stage name “Shay Bxxgie” is an eclectic singer, songwriter, model, and recording artist based just north of Atlanta. Transcending boundaries, Shay’s profound style takes hold as his versatile artistry encompasses various elements of Punk, R&B and Hip Hop with a hint of Pop. We got the chance to ask Shay Bxxgie some questions.

- Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?
“I Started making my music public through challenges. My first challenge that got me some recognition was the ten toes challenge and the so far gone challenge. I put my first official single out in 2018 “Limxsuine”. Following that I dropped my debut EP “Whx Cares” in 2019. It was a bigger budget production so I met a lot of industry people and connections in the process. My debut Album “Emo Clarity” dropped February 2020 completely mixed and written by me with no features. The album featured “Strangers” and “Painted Pain” whom snippets went viral which took my fan base worldwide. Now I have over 1 million streams across all platforms, I was featured on Da Baby Dj mixtape #TOP100YOUNGINS . I’ve worked with multiple multi platinum producers and have been featured on multiple news sources leading to this interview.”
2. Where are you from?
“I was Born in the Bronx New York but I was raised on the Nawf side of Atlanta Norcross Georgia Gwinnett County.”
3. When did you start music?
“I started seriously making music which only started with writing at 19.”
4. How did you get into music?
“Music has always been around because of my pops but for me it was just building the confidence that I was good enough to stand out and that started from seeing reactions and feedbacks when I would read my raps to people.”
5. What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
“Prison Hands down. It was the greatest battle Mentally, Emotionally, and Physically.”
6. Are you currently signed or independent?
“I am a independent Artist and have my own Label called Last Blessed Kingdxm.”
7. Who inspires you the most musically?
“Musically I have a couple people who inspire me because there’s to sides to this industry the music and the character, but if I can pick 2 who do both the best to me it would be Russ and Post Malone.”
8. What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
“That you can shine light from the darkness no matter what you been through you can change and do positive but it comes from deep inside.”
9. Any new music coming out soon?
“My album just dropped in March but Starting in June 2020 ill be dropping a song every week.”
10. What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
“My greatest achievement was finishing my debut album “Emo Clarity”, every song on that album I mixed and wrote my self, not to mention I executively designed it from placement of tracks to the feel and cover. It’s a piece of word that says this is me 100%.”
