Los Angeles Hip-Hop Artist Presidentrj Shares Insight Into his STREET PRIEST Projects

Los Angeles hip-hop artist Presidentrj, aka Street Priest, is bringing the reality of life in the streets to the rap industry with his 2020 release. One extended length project, STREET PRIEST, and a handful of singles scattered throughout the year have allowed for the young rap hopeful to display both his tactical hip-hop skills in the studio, as well as his natural, smooth, eccentric persona. The rapper who stands before us all today is not the same person he was two years ago. It was only after a period of trial and tribulation that Presidentrj established a sound that was all his own.

In March 2019, a year after Presidentrj began pursuing a hip-hop career, the young rapper was facing eviction from his LA apartment. Unable to make ends meet, Presidentrj had to put his recording career on hold as he could not afford studio time to lay down his tracks on the mic. However, the hopeful artist began to focus more and more on his writing and lyrical abilities to keep his creative juices flowing. Taking his real-life experiences as inspiration, Presidentrj soon penned some of the most expressive and realistic writing in the LA underground rap scene. “I feel like a lot of people will be able to relate the place I come from,” the young rapper shares.

Presidentrj fought hard for his dreams, and when he made his triumphant return in 2020, the results were truly astonishing. His extended length release, STREET PRIEST, set the precedent that Presidentrj was a force in hip-hop. Earning fame in the LA underground scene, the young artist was presented with doors of opportunity he never knew were available. Now looking to build on that success, Presidentrj is prepping the release of STREET PRIEST II, the follow-up to his 2020 release. “The songs give listeners an idea of what life is like in the streets and what a lot of people have to go through to survive,” Presidentrj shares of the upcoming project. With the strides of improvement, he has shown over the past year, Presidentrj might just launch his career miles ahead with this release.
