This past week we got to meet Tyler Valenzia who is an influential fitness expert and a U.S. Marine. Check out the full interview below to know more about this young stud:

Tyler Valenzia
  1. How did you get into fitness?

I started lifting weights when I was 14 years old. I got tired of being skinny and getting picked on so I decided to make a change. I wanted to prove something to everyone that I could achieve something more and I wanted to gain the respect of others. So I started watching bodybuilders on YouTube, one in particular was Arnold Schwarzenegger. I would watch videos of how bodybuilders trained and I would mimic everything that they did. I bought weights and kept them in my basement. I would go down there everyday to lift and practice the workouts that I saw from the Bodybuilders on YouTube. After I started getting the feel for working out I started to buy cheap protein powders from Walmart and I would drink them every night after wrestling practice or weight training. Then after awhile of being consistent with working out I started seeing progress and then that was just only the beginning of it all.

2. How old are you?

I am currently 20 years old and I was born October 14th, 1998

3. What do you do as a career?

I am an aviation electronics technician for the United States Marine Corps and I also make content for my social media.

4. Why do you do what you do?

I joined the Marine Corps to set my self up for success and to have something steady to be able to put more effort into building my brand and making content for my social media. I make content because I love to do it. I love working out and I love being able to express myself on a huge social platform and most importantly I love influencing others to live their best life and to help motivate them to get into shape.

5. What motivates you the most?

There are so many things that motivate me but I’d say that the main thing that motivates me is the progress and being able to see how far you’ve come and realize that everything that you did led you up to this point and that just goes to show that if you want something bad enough and you believe that it will happen then it will 100% happen as long as you’re willing to make the sacrifices and do whatever it takes to get you there.

6. What do you want your audience to know?

I want my audience to know that anything is possible as long as you put your mind to it. Don’t let anything that other people say or do affect you or stop you from doing what you love to do. Chase your dreams and never give up on what makes you happy in life. You only have one life so live it the best way you possibly can!

7. How long have you been in fitness for?

I’ve been in fitness for about 6 years now but I’ve played sports all my life starting at 6 years old when I started wrestling and playing soccer.

8. What are some of your accomplishments?

Some of my accomplishments would be going to states for wrestling back in high school I loved the sport of wrestling. Also all the hard work I’ve put into my body and being able to transform it into something more than what I was before. Another accomplishment for me would be graduating from boot camp and becoming a United States Marine. Also growing my social media page from the ground up into something I never would have thought I would ever be at. Lastly after many years of hard work and making content I’ve been able to earn multiple sponsorships and be able to connect with many influencers and people from all over that share the same goals as me.

9. What is next for you?

What I believe is next for me is to make a name for myself and become well known but most importantly have a positive impact on everyone that I come across.

10.What is it like serving in the marines?

Serving in the Marines is by far the most challenging thing I have done. From waking up early everyday to all of the pt’s and to all of the obstacles that I had to overcome and continue to overcome it’s been an experience. Sometimes it’s hard to be far away from all of my friends and loved ones but I try to keep a positive mindset and tell myself that this is only temporary and that it will benefit me in the long run.

12.Why is being fit so important?

The reason why being fit is so important is not only to just look good but it makes you feel good as well. Honestly working out makes me happy and it makes me feel so good about myself. After a long hard day nothing makes me feel better or helps me relieve stress more than going to the gym and working out. After being consistent for awhile and you start to see results you’ll never want to stop. Also not to mention being fit is very good for you body and your overall health. Being fit will allow you to live a long and happy life.
